Dark Knight: The Joker’s Philosophy

In the Dark Knight during the hopistal scene when the Joker confronts Harvey dent alone (also known as two-face) he shares a very interesting theory which may have some truth behind it. The Joker says that when things go accoording to the plan people don’t panic. I think that people fear chaos the most. Chaos is unpredictably. People are afraid of the unknown. No one like the feeling of uncertainty, which is why they organize and create plans so that they can better predict the outcomes of life. But that’s the funny thing about life; we aren’t supposed to know everything. The Joker calls people with plans “schemers trying to control their little worlds.” In addition points out how heartless and prejudice people seem in society. He says that ”people panic when things don’t go accoording to plan even when the plan is horrifying.” People like soldiers in the armed forces, drug dealers, and mobsters are all a part of the plan. No one would freak out if a soldier or a gangster dies, but they would loose their minds when a little girl goes missing. This raises another question. Are we that cruel?
